Safety First: Filipino Folk Songs lyrics, music score/sheet

Safety First
Maude S. Kinney     Edward B. Birge

On every crowded corner,
Along the busy street,
A traffic cop with outstretch arms,
We daily love to met;

When we should pass he motions,
That's why we watch his arms,
We move just when he tells us,
And so we're safe from harm.

Somewhere in our barrio,
There stands a kapok tree,
He also holds his arms out-straight,
For all the trees to see;

A "traffic cop" he's playing
With tree friends of his own,
Just as we little children
Play "traffic cop" near home.
