Ita, Ita sa Bundok
Negritos of the Mountains
Folk Song of Oriental Negros
This melody was used in plays in the town of Siquijor. The Christian lowlanders ask the Negritos of the mountains what food and meat they eat.
Lyrics
"Negritos of the mountains,
What kind of food do you eat?
What kind of meat do you eat,
Negritos of the mountains?"
"We people of the mountains,
Are eating rice for our food,
We eat some pork for viand,
We people of the mountains."
